INTERNET SIMPLIFIES THE WORK OF THE ART INDUSTRY

The internet revolution has had a huge positive impact on the music industry by simplifying and subsequent development of the trade in Zimbabwe and the world at large.

This was said by Mr Denny Marandure, ZOL Zimbabwe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at a recent Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) arranged press conference in the capital.

The ZOL boss highlighted the symbiotic relationship that exist between the music and art industry at large and the positive changes that the advent of internet has brought to the sector.

"The internet has been part of the music and art revolution by making it easier for both production houses and the artists themselves to prduce and market their art products."

"Production costs have been reduced,distribution nad marketing of art products have been made even more easier,"added the ZOL CEO.

Internet marketing for artist has taken over from the conventional ways and reaching thousands of other people who do not have access to conventional sources like newspapers and televisions.

The interaction between artists and their fans has also sipmlified through the internet enabling them to have even a tet atet on such platforms like social networks of facebook and twitter.

The internet giant will be headlining HIFA 2015 as one of the main sponsors by sponsoring the HIFA main stage dubbed the ZOL MainStage. The Harare International Festival of the Arts is the headline arts festival in Zimbabwe bringing in internationally acclaimed art gurus to the country since its inception in 1999.

Running under a theme 'Articulate', this year's HIFA will bring in the internationally acclaimed and Legendary African musician, Malian Salif Keita whose collaboration with mbira songstress, Hope Masike is sure to be the main attraction wooing the two musicians' legions of fans.
